2024 Member-Guest Tournament Format
Daily Breakdowns
-
All players drive from every tee and select the best shot then play next shot from that position within one club length no closer to the hole (or 6 inches on the green). All balls must remain in the same condition. Once a ball is holed, that is your score.
-
85% handicap for all players. Teams will use the better ball net of each player. Mark gross score. All scores counting must be holed.
-
60% handicap of player A, 40% of player B. Both players drive from the tee, then each player’s second shot is played by their partner. From there, the team picks the next shot and plays alternate shot until ball is holed. The player starting this process is the one whose ball was not chosen. You may change balls during the hole as long as it lies in your fairway or the green. Triple bogey net max score.
-
50% of sum of players’ handicaps. One player will hit 5 tee shots, the other hits 4 (this order must be determined before teeing off the first hole). From there, the team picks the next shot and plays alternate shot until ball is holed. You may change balls during the hole, the same as in the Chapman. Max score will be net 10.
-
Each flight winner will secure their spot in the shootout. In addition to the flight winners, one wild card team (the team with the lowest score that does not win their flight) will qualify for the shootout (ties for the wild card will be decided based on the Alternate Shot format score. If a tie still exists, we will use the Chapman score and then Best Ball score if necessary). Modified Alternate Shot format (60% of the lower handicap and 40% of the higher handicap) will be used for the entire shootout. In this format, both players will tee off and you will select the better of the two drives and alternate until the ball is holed. Strokes fall according to the scorecard and will be based off the low team in the field. Ties will be settled by a chip off except for the final hole, where teams will continue to play until a winner is decided. Teams will be eliminated as follows; 2 teams from each grouping will be eliminated on the 1st hole (holes 10 & 15), 2 more teams from each group will be eliminated on the 2nd hole (holes 10 & 15). From that point forward 1 team will be eliminated on holes 16, 17 & 18 until a champion is crowned.
Side Games & More Information
-
If any teams tie for first place, the tie will be broken first by the low team score in the first round, then second round, then third round. If there is still a tie, we will break by a net scorecard playoff from the first round beginning with the 1st hole and progress. If there is still a tie, both teams will be entered in the shootout.
-
$200 entry per team.
-
AM shotgun has priority.
-
Teams may not exceed 10 strokes based on index between the two players. The higher handicapped player’s index will be adjusted to bring the team into compliance. Adjustments for the stroke differential are taken within each round.
